BEFORE YOU BEGIN

What is a rhythm ride spin class?

A rhythm ride is a music-driven cycle session where you move with the beat. Combining climbs, sprints and flow-based choreography. There’s a certain magic that happens when you move collectively to the beat, however, we know that getting the beat takes time, or sometimes we just want to move to the beat of our own drum. If that’s the case, we ask that you do not book the front row.

What makes Therapy Fitness Cycle different from other spin classes?

Our rhythm-based format, music selection, lighting and inclusive coaching create an atmosphere that feels more like a moving meditation-meets-cardio experience than a traditional spin class.

NEED TO KNOW

Is this cycle class beginner friendly?

Yes. You control your own resistance and speed, and our instructors guide you through setup, pace and options. First-timers and experienced riders are equally supported.

What should I expect in a 45-minute class?

Expect a combination of climbs, jogs and sprints, paired with music, lighting and coaching that help you drop into the moment and enjoy the experience. We also have hand weights for you to work your upper body (did someone say full-body workout?!)

GETTING STARTED

Book your bike online or in-app. Choose your favourite spot in class; next to your workout buddy or in the back corner.

We don’t expect you to achieve everything on your first go. This class is a journey. Take breaks whenever you need (taking the saddle and slowing your legs is like your Child’s Pose)

CLASS PREP

Do I need cycling shoes for the class?

No, Cycle shoes are provided at the studio free of charge. Just bring socks and a water bottle (we even provide sweat towels). Simply speak to our experience team before class to grab your size and make sure you arrive with plenty of time to change.

Don’t be surprised if you go through all the emotions in this class. Something special happens in this dark, candle-lit room, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

BIKE SET UP

If it’s your first time in our Cycle Space, we’ll show you how to correctly set up your bike.

Remember to arrive 15 minutes early so that we can teach you how to adjust the saddle height and handle bars and how to clip yourself in with your cycle shoes.

Our bike set up is easy and you’ll be able to look after yourself in the next class. But – if you forget something, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

We provide you with shoes, however, if you wish to purchase your own, you’ll need cycle shoes with SPD cleats.
